Rennmaschinen - Die DESY Beschleunigershow
DESY is one of the world’s leading accelerator centres.
We would like to introduce you to the physics needed for particle acceleration in an entertaining way with our "Rennmaschinen-Show”.
In this show YOU can participate! Help to freeze roses, watch an ice cold magnetically levitated train, try to copy an electromagnetic wave with our gigantic beach balls, see the glittering sparks from a Tesla transformer and be charged by a Van-de- Graaff Generator.
The presenters are graduate and postgraduate students as well as technical staff from all areas of research.
