Supraleitende Hochfrequenz-Kavitäten für den ILC und andere zukünftige Beschleuniger
The aim of this project is to understand and characterise the properties of superconducting radio-frequency accelerating cavities by exploiting the large sample of such cavities currently being manufactured for the European X-ray Free Electron Laser facility (EXFEL) at DESY and to investigate alternative and possibly cheaper and more efficient methods of cavity surface treatment.
